The Exterior Design
From the start, we knew we needed to thread the needle between two design styles: pub-like sports bar and fine-dining. The pavilion needed to be both casual and luxurious with the versatility to accommodate a spectrum of customers, from golfers relaxing after a day on the course to wedding guests refueling before the reception. The challenge was on.
For the pavilion exterior, we opted for a 32-foot octagonal layout constructed with white vinyl—a material known for its clean, sleek look that excels in durability. Vinyl was the ideal choice because of its long-lasting properties, low-maintenance requirements, and high-end appearance. We opted for 12-inch posts around the perimeter unified with statement-making custom top rail trim.
Lastly, we added a louvered cupola to the pavilion’s hip roof, a tall and elegant centerpiece hinting back to architectural trends from the 18th and 19th centuries. Historically, cupolas were added to provide light and ventilation in large spaces, lending a timeless charm and a sense of grandeur to the design. Given the pavilion’s 32-foot width, its extra-tall cupola provides additional ventilation and brings a unique touch of elegance to the structure, creating a subtle but eye-catching statement that can be appreciated from both outside and underneath the structure.
The Interior Design
Inside, members are greeted by a wraparound seating area surrounding a fully functional bar enhanced with TVs, string lighting, ceiling fans, and an exposed wood ceiling, giving the space a warm, luxurious feel. With the goal of threading the needle between pub-like sports bar and fine-dining, our team outfitted the pavilion with carefully chosen amenities to create a space that feels like an upscale lounge enhanced by fresh air and sweeping views of the golf course.
The Result
The finished product is a one-of-a-kind, luxurious statement, transforming the club’s open patio into a place for community and connection.
